Forty Receive Diplomas at Summer Commencement
- Updated: August 30, 2019
by Ronnie Zamora/LFCISD
Forty students who completed requirements for graduation June walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, participating in the Los Fresnos High School Summer Commencement.
The students took summer classes and passed the required sections of the End of Course (EOC) exams required to receive their diplomas.
They were greeted by Superintendent Gonzalo Salazar and LFHS principal Justin Stumbaugh after receiving their diplomas.
Receiving the most applause was special needs student Filemon Vasquez Jr., a favorite of many school administrators. His smile was radiant throughout the ceremony and for photos with his family following it.
The 40 students joined the 904 students who graduated at LFHS Commencement May 25 as members of the Class of 2019.
