Looking for something do this weekend?
If food, cold brewskies and good music is on your mind, then go to Dean Porter Park in Brownsville for the 2019 Beerfest.
The event, held from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, will feature plenty of vendors, entertainment such as German-styled dance and music by different groups, including the Wreckless Texas and Metal Shop band.
The festival organizers are implementing a new format in general admission and VIP tickets will include just about everything available at the fest without having to come out with cash.
A general admission ticket will allow an attendee to get food and beverages whereas a VIP ticket includes craft beer samples, food from local restaurants, a Beerfest swag, access to the indoors lounge and to listen to music by the Lost Puppies.
