26th Annual Rio Grande Birding Festival Returns November 6th
- Updated: November 8, 2019
HARLINGEN, Texas — After 25 years, it isn’t any wonder that the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is ready to shake things up!
The RGVBF is keeping things fresh and exciting with many changes this year, including a new home, the Harlingen Convention Center.
The festival has also added new sites to its list of field trip destinations and redesigned its Photo Track, a group of field trips customized specifically to the new breed of birder, the Hybrid Birder-Photographer.
Some things won’t change, the RGVBF’s commitment to local families remains. The RGVBF prides itself on its variety of activities for families. Free activities will be held on site at the Harlingen Convention Center Saturday and Sunday, including an entire area dedicated to nature activities called Kiskadee Korner, Jonathan Wood and his Raptor Show that promises memories to last a lifetime, a family bird walk, and the Birders’ Bazaar, a bustling trade show with over 80 vendors.
The festival will run from November 6-10, with over 600 visitors descending on the City of Harlingen, eager to experience all that makes the RGV so special: our food, music, wildlife, habitat, and of course its friendly, warm people. For more information, please visit www.rgvbf.org.
