More than 300 students participated in the final Tailgate Fiesta of the season Friday, November 1st.
The Tailgate Fiesta began at 5:40 p.m. at Los Fresnos Elementary School playground across the parking lot from Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium. Fans brought their vehicles with barbecue pits as early as 4:20 p.m.
The featured entertainment included performances by student groups from three elementary schools and two middle schools in addition to LFHS/LFU.
Among the entertainers were members of the LFHS/LFU Folklorico. The LFHS/LFU Cheer Teams and Stars Dance team also performed, as well as the Los Cuates Middle School band.
Tailgating began in Los Fresnos during the 2016 football season.
District administrators carefully watched the weather forecasts for Friday evening. A cold front was expected early Friday morning and brought cooler temperatures throughout the day.
