The Los Fresnos Falcons boys soccer team defeated the Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles 1-0 in overtime at home on March 6 to clinch the District 32-6A championship.

The Falcons ended the regular season with an 8-4 league mark and finished two games ahead of second-place San Benito.
In their first meeting against Hanna in Brownsville on Feb. 11, the Falcons lost the match 4-2. The loss, however, seemed to be a bit of a wake up call as they went on to win their next four in a row before exacting revenge on Hanna to clinch the league crown.

The Falcons will now enter the playoffs as the top seed out of District 32-6A and will face the fourth-place team out of District 31-6A in the first round, which is set to begin March 26-28.

This year marks the first trip to the postseason for the Falcons since the 2017-18 season when they finished as the No. 3 seed out of their district. That year they fell to Edinburg Economedes 4-3 in the first round.
