What event do you compete in?
I compete in the 4×1 relay, 4×2 relay and the 100-meter dash.

What drew you to participate in track & field?
The competitive nature of track and field really drew me to the sport, and the sense of family.

Do you play any other sports?
No, I do not play any other sports.

What are you currently doing to stay active?
I am currently swimming, weightlifting and jogging to stay active.

Who is your favorite professional athlete?
(Track star) Christian Coleman is my favorite professional athlete.

What is your favorite food?
Pizza is my favorite food.

What is your favorite movie?
“White Chicks” is my favorite movie.

Who is your favorite actor or actress?
Paul Wesley is my favorite actor.

What is your favorite book?
“I Crawl Through It,” by A.S. King is my favorite book.

What is your favorite subject in school?
Science is my favorite subject.

What subject do you wish you didn’t have to take?
I really wish I didn’t have to take math.

What is your favorite color?
Green would have to be my favorite color.

What is your favorite animal?
Turtles are my favorite animal.

If you could live in any city in the world, where would that be?
I would love to live in Venice, Italy.

If you could have dinner with a famous person, past or present, who would you dine with?
If I could have dinner with any famous person it would be Idris Elba.

What is something most people don’t know about you?
What some people don’t know about me is that I’m half Lithuanian and I’m also a twin!

Do you plan on going to college? If so, where?
Yes I am going to college and I plan on attending college at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

What do you want to major in?
I plan on majoring in biology.

What would you like to do in the future?
In the future, I would like to become a general practitioner and open up my own practice.

Talk a little bit about what it’s been like having to endure this break.
It has been really stressful having to endure this break due to the fact that we have to do social distancing everywhere we go, and follow rules and regulations. School work is also a big hassle during this time especially since we can’t ask for help with assignments we are struggling in because everything is online, so we have to basically teach ourselves.

How did having the entire season so suddenly cancelled make you feel? Did it come as a surprise?
Having the entire season cancelled so suddenly was a huge surprise, which made me very sad because track was my escape from everything and I really didn’t want to end my high school track career this way.

What have you learned from this unprecedented experience?
I have learned from this experience that you should never take things for granted and to always live life to the fullest because life is too short.
