Falcons out-defend Bulldogs
- Updated: December 24, 2020
Los Fresnos boys basketball team visited the McHi Bulldogs December 12.
McHi was able to limit the usually high flying Falcon offense to just 55 points. But the visiting Falcons were able to counter holding the Bulldogs to only 37.
The Falcons are putting together a strong start to the season. Now the boys are 9-1 on the season. District Play will start on December 30 versus Brownsville Rivera.
No teams in District 32-6A boys basketball can be taken lightly. Los Fresnos has had the most success in recent years. Harlingen and Weslaco are perennial powers. Hanna, San Benito, and Weslaco East always have competitive teams. How will it shake out this year? We won’t have any idea until some of these teams play face to face.
Preseason tournaments were dropped this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. This means there are a lot of unanswered questions and less game time for all the players.
But the Los Fresnos Falcons are clicking early and should be able to play with a lot of confidence.
