Liberty Memorial Band Earns Sweepstakes, Superior Rating

The Liberty Memorial Middle School Honor Band under the direction of Mr. Brian Kuntz with help from Mr. Michael Garcia, performed at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest and earned a Sweepstakes trophy which is the highest honor in the competition. Additionally, the Liberty Honor Band traveled to Corpus Christi and earned Superior ratings from all judges in the South Coast Music Festival. The Liberty Memorial Middle School Symphonic Band under the direction of Ms. Cristina Deleon, assisted by Dr. Robert Vastano, performed at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest and also earned Superior rating in the Concert portion of the contest. Liberty Memorial was the only Middle School in Los Fresnos to have both bands earn First Divisions in the concert portion of the UIL Contest.
