Counterfeit Currency Found Being Used at a Local Gas Station

Police are warning merchants area residents of movie prop money that is being passed along as actual currency. Recently the fake movie prop money was used at Harvey’s LP Gas Co to purchase goods.
Joel Escalante told Los Fresnos News that they didn’t find out until they took it to the bank. Escalante says he seems to remember something like this happening several years ago and wants to warn other businesses to be sure to check the money… He explains, “That might be one of the reasons a lot of stores don’t take $100s or $50” Harvey’s LP Gas
