Manuela Garza Gamez 93, of Los Fresnos, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Manuela was born in Smithville, Texas on April 18, 1929 to Federico Garza and San Juana Garcia Garza.
Manuela received her Texas G.E.D. and her Retail Sales Certificate in Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
Manuela is preceded in death by her parents Federico & San Juana Garcia Garza, her husband Ramon Gamez, her siblings: Angelita Killebrew, Elvira Silva, Julian Garza, and Armando Garza. Grandson Justin Gamez.
Left to cherish her memory will be her children: Yolanda (Walter) Miranda, Sylvia (Michael) Coonradt, Mary (Daniel) Montes, Diana (Francisco) Rodriguez, Cynthia (Jose) Montes, and Raymond (Linda) Gamez, Jr. Her grandchildren: Christopher Miranda, Amanda Miranda, Michelle Coonradt, Melissa Coonradt, Ana Lisa Hendrickson, Clarissa Tovar, Santiago “Jimmy” Rodriguez, Rumaldo Rodriguez III “Jr.”, Richard “Ricky” Rodriguez, and 17 great-grandchildren. Her siblings: Federico Garza, Jr., Ascencion Garza, Guadalupe Garza, and Maria Ela Cerda, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Amdeisys Hospice nurse Alyssa, nurse Arturo, Chaplin Josephine and social worker Jean.
