The Los Fresnos Lady Falcons played host to the Harlingen Lady Cardinals in another round of 32-6A action. After starting 3-0 in 2023, The Lady Falcons suffered a 13-8 loss to the San Benito Lady Greyhounds. Next up was rival Harlingen, a team who Los Fresnos has certainly had their fair share of battles with over the past few years.
Both teams played standout defensively from the start as Both the Lady Cardinals and Lady Falcons battled it out throughout the night. While teams were able to pick up a few hits and get on base, defense ran the show for the most part.
Los Fresnos was finally able to get the ball rolling in the bottom of the fifth inning. Thanks to good hitting, Los Fresnos took a two run lead.
Harlingen However would quickly respond in the top of the sixth inning and knocked in two runs to tie the game up. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Los Fresnos would put on two runs to take the lead and hold on to win 4-2.
Los Fresnos improved to 23-4 overall and 4-1 in 32-6A play. The Lady Falcons was take on Brownsville Rivera to begin the second half of District.
