Discovery GT Summer Program Concludes at LFISD

More than 120 students elementary school students took part in the week-long Los Fresnos CISD Discovery GT Program that concluded Thursday.
Students got to participate in 11 programs and showed their talents at a ceremony ending the program. Many parents of students were also in attendance.
Director of Career and Technical Education Adrian Dorsett moderated the activity, and introduced parents to the teachers of each program.
The programs were taught by Los Fresnos CISD secondary teachers. They included:
Animal Science: D.J. Wernecke, LFHS, and Rachael Wernecke, Resaca Middle School.
Digital Media: Esther Cantu-Castillo, LFHS.
Food Science: Sue Ellen Hill, LFHS
Health Science: Cristina Cavazos, LFU

Vocal Performance: Patrick Graves, LFHS
Horticulture: Eric Bernal, LFU
