Mandatory LFHS Summer Band Begins July 29

Summer Band for Los Fresnos High School band students begins at 7 a.m. Monday, July 29 and runs for one week.
Summer Band is mandatory for all students as preparation for the fall marching show begins.
The Summer Band schedule is as follows:
7-9:45 a.m. | All members marching rehearsal (physical training and fundamentals); Color Guard practice. |
8:30-9:55 a.m. | Sectional – Percussion front ensemble |
10-10:55 a.m. | Sectionals – Low brass, clarinets, french horns, snare drums and tenor drums |
11-11:55 a.m. | Sectionals – trumpets, flutes, saxophones, and bass drums |
All-Valley Practice Sessions (mandatory for all top band students)
Monday-Thursday, July 29-Aug. 1
1:1:30 p.m. | Trumpet, trombones, saxophones, clarinets. |
1:35-2:05 p.m. | Horns, low clarinet, baritone, flute and percussion. |
2:10-2:40 p.m. | Tuba, oboe, bassoon, and percussion |
Dress code for summer band is t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes.
Parents interested in joining the Band Booster Club are encouraged to attend an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the LFHS Music Building. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.
