The ceremony began with the presentation of colors, pledge of allegiance and a reciting of “The Star Spangled Banner”. Guest speakers were; American Legion spokesperson, County Judge Carlos Cascos, Mayor Polo Narvaez and Field Director Jason Gates. After comments from the guest speakers, Cub Scouts presented wreaths for display. Each wreath was symbolic of specific events that transpired on that fateful day and the days shortly after.
