City of Los Fresnos Awarded $538,110 Community Block Grant

The City of Los Fresnos was awarded $538,110 under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for Rural Texas.
The funding will help provide improvements to curb, gutters and drainage to roadways around the city including: Ebony, Pecan, Magnolia, portion of Sixth Street between Como and Peta, according to city officials.
The primary objective of the Community Development Block Grant program is to develop viable communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities principally for persons of low- to moderate-income.
Grants to rural Texas cities and counties for basic infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater facilities, street improvements and drainage.
