Since their early years as toddlers, Peyton, Jordan, and Jake Sales have experienced it all – new teachers, new classes, new friends, and new activities – and they have always been together.

Though it may seem overwhelming to outsiders, life as a triplet has unanticipated and quite enviable perks. Having two siblings the same age has not only allowed them to better discover their individuality but has greatly enriched both their academic and athletic pursuits.

In order, Peyton, Jordan and Jake were born one minute apart Feb. 27, 1997 to Wade and Lisa Forbes Sales. Their families and friends have been watching carefully over them for almost 17 years.

Now as juniors at Los Fresnos High School, Peyton, Jordan, and Jake feel that the benefits of the triplet lifestyle are endless.

“It’s really nice because you get to meet so many more people than you normally would,” Jordan said. “You instantly have two other groups of people.”
Peyton is so grateful for the “two automatic best friends” in her life.

In addition to aiding new connections, life as a triplet involves friendly competitiveness. Whether aiming for the highest test grade or vying for the top position in their respective sports, such competitiveness motivates each to succeed.

Jake says his sisters hold him accountable on a daily basis. Peyton says, “If I get more questions right on an assignment than my brother or sister, I throw a celebration.”

Evidently, such competitiveness has generated success. Peyton and Jordan are both ranked among the Top 10 students in the Class of 2015 while Jake is part of the distinguished Top 10 Percent.

Complementing their academic accomplishments, the Sales triplets have attained athletic prestige in different sports at Los Fresnos High School.

Jake is a center on the offensive line for the Falcons’ varsity football team while Peyton is a setter on the Lady Falcons’ volleyball team. Jordan is a member of the Falcons’ varsity swim team, where she specializes in the breaststroke.

All have been active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Los Fresnos High School and at the Los Fresnos United Methodist Church. Their parents were directors of the church’s Youth Group for seven years.

Balancing both schoolwork and sports has undoubtedly required remarkable diligence.

Peyton utilizes “hard-core time management” and says she is “often compelled to sacrifice precious sleep.” Jordan admits to occasional procrastination.
The three siblings all plan to attend Texas A&M University in College Station where they will join their older brother Conner, a 2013 graduate of LFHS. “I love Texas way too much to ever leave for college, “ Peyton said. For Jordan, “it is the logical choice for me.”

With four children at Texas A&M on the horizon, their parents may be looking at real estate options in College Station.

A diversity of interests will result in a plethora of degrees for the three students. Peyton plans to major in Hospitality and Tourism while Jake is debating a career in Petroleum Engineering or Business. Jordan is considering majoring in International Relations.

Embracing the “lucrative tourism industry,” Peyton hopes to work as a park director at Disney World in Florida. Gaining experience in her potential field of study, Jordan would love to participate in foreign missions in either Africa or Asia. Jake visualizes himself working on oil rigs.

Whatever the future may hold for the Sales triplets, they will share a special bond for the rest of their lives.
