special to Los Fresnos News by Atascosa Soccer Center

Your can hear the emotion! The excitement of people seeing their children have fun! You can hear soccer coaches screaming with enthusiasm as their team scores a goal. You can also hear the agony of defeat, when parents and coaches know all that can be done is done and gone.
Who would of ever thought we’d say, “Los Fresnos finally got a soccer league to be proud of.”

Five years ago when we decided to start a soccer league for los Fresnos. We would never have believed it would be so fulfilling: Los Fresnos with it’s own soccer league.

We now have 5 soccer fields, 2 for indoor competition and 3 for outside soccer, for ages ranging from 3 years old to adults. We also have teams that come and compete from Harlingen indoor leagues, Harlingen select teams, Raymondville and Brownsville competitive teams and select teams. We are proud to be the friendliest, most family-oriented league.

Now we are proud to say that with much investment and hard work, we have incorporated a new indoor field where children from 3 years old to 8 years old can play. It can also be used to train competitive and select teams when weather is bad. Many benefits will come from this indoor field, including the higher level of excitement that comes from playing in a much faster, more intense soccer field.

Do you like excitement? Do you want to feel the thrill of competition while watching your child play? Would you like your children to be tired and ready for bed after a good practice or an exciting game? Maybe you just want your child to have some good, natural fun while exercising. Indoor soccer just might be the type of excitement your family has been waiting for!

We encourage you to come register yourself or your child. Some call it “fun”, but we like to call it “exercising for the benefit of the mind!”
