Four LFHS Singers to Audition for All-Region Choir

Four Los Fresnos High School choir students who earned chairs in the Texas Music Educators Association District Auditions and will audition for the All-Region Choir Saturday.
The day-long All-Region competition begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at Veterans Memorial High School.
At the Region 28 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) District Mixed Auditions in September and District Treble Auditions in October, eight LFHS students were selected for chairs.
At the District Mixed event, earning chairs were Kathleen Clark (Soprano 1), Emily Vasquez (Alto 1), Klarissa Muñiz (Alto 2) and Rodrigo Macouzet (Bass 2).
The four will audition for Region Saturday. The top 10 of each vocal group will make All-Region, and will then move on to participate in Pre-Area Auditions.
Four students choir also earned chairs in the District Treble Choir, although there is no region competition for them. They included Lisa Marie Marin (Alto 1), Sarah Torgerson (Soprano 1), Noelle Bresson (Soprano 2), and Hannah Marie Diaz (Soprano 2).
The students will perform in the TMEA Region 28 Region Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 15 in the Harlingen Performing Arts Center.
