Clark Named to All-State Choir at Area Competition
- Updated: January 27, 2015
Los Fresnos High School junior Kathleen Clark was selected to the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Choir at the Area G Choir Competition Saturday in Rockport.
Clark, who competes as a Soprano I, qualified for area by placing among the top five students at the region level in November.
The junior, who was also crowned Miss Los Fresnos last April, has been singing competitively since middle school.
“I’ve worked very hard,” Clark said. “It is truly an honor to be competing with the best singers in the Valley, Corpus and Laredo regions.”
The top ten participants in each section were named to the Texas All-State Choir. She and the other All-State members will perform at the Texas Music Education Association Convention Feb. 14 in San Antonio.
