All Schools Participating in Rodeo Parade Saturday

150205 Rodeo Parade 2014

All Los Fresnos CISD schools will be participating in the annual Rodeo Parade Saturday through the city.

The parade is the culmination of Rodeo Week in the district, where students have been dressed in western wear each day. Staff has been wearing blue jeans throughout the week as well.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Second and Brazil Streets next to the Los Fresnos Community Building.

The Rodeo parade route has changed for safety reasons. Previously, the parade went east on Texas Highway 100 and concluded at the Los Fresnos Rodeo Grounds.

However, this year’s parade will follow traditional parade routes, going east on Second Street and turning north on Arroyo Boulevard. The parade concludes at the North Parking Lot of Los Fresnos High School.

Including vehicles and horses, there are 65 entries in the parade. Each of the district’s nine elementary schools will have a dance or cheer team, while the three middle schools will feature their bands and cheerleaders.

The Los Fresnos High School Band and Stars Dance team will also take part.
