LFHS RGV LEAD Student Ambassadors to Job Shadow This Summer
- Updated: March 13, 2015
“RGV LEAD is a partnership between education and business that prepares young people for today’s skilled workforce. This partnership involves high schools, colleges and universities, large and small businesses, and governmental agencies — all working together!”
RGV LEAD focuses on “strengthening the link between education and economic development and helping students acquire the skill-sets necessary for success in higher education, skills, and life”.
The RGV LEAD Student Ambassadors are a group of students that are part of the RGV LEAD Regional collaborative. These students were selected for their leadership qualities to represent Los Fresnos High School and the region.
The Los Fresnos High School RGV LEAD Student Ambassadors have worked hard this year to help spread awareness of various topics including scholarships, preparation for college entrance exams, and community service.
As part of our mission, we are embarking on a great endeavor this summer to help provide our students with the opportunity to learn from other leaders. Our students are interested in shadowing business and community leaders during the Summer.
We are reaching out to leaders in our community that are willing to allow our students to spend a week learning from them this Summer.
Los Fresnos Area Businesses that are interested in participating in this exciting endeavor to help our students grow, please call Janie Espinoza, LFHS Counselor at (956) 254-5332.
