Los Fresnos Police Detective Selina Conde Given Life Saving Award

Detective Selina Conde was recognized by the Police department and City Council at the council meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was recognized for her outstanding performance and exemplary attention to duty.
On Monday, January 19, 2015, Detective Conde was dispatched to a residence on Alvarez Court to assist EMS. Upon arrival she found a child that was unresponsive and not breathing. Using her training, she immediately administered CPR on the child. As a direct response to her being able to stay calm under pressure and using her training she was able to revive the child. The child was then transported to the hospital by EMS.
Commander Charlie Banda, who presented Detective Conde with the Los Fresnos Police Department Life Saving award, stated “It is important for you to know your good deeds and excellent work are not going unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do every day. You can take special pride in knowing that your efforts positively affect the quality of life in the City of Los Fresnos. Once again, thank you”.
Mayor Polo Narvaez, addressing Detective Conde and speaking in general of the Police department, also added “thank you for the work that you do”.
