Two outstanding student athletes from Los Fresnos signed on to play collegiate sports for Iowa’s Graceland University last week. Karina Gonzalez, third baseman for the Lady Falcon’s softball team and Jose Lerma, defensive back who helped the Falcons reach the regional quarter finals this past season after winning the co-district 32-6A Championship.
Gonzalez has signed on to play softball for Graceland and Lerma has agreed to play football. Lerma hopes to pursue a degree in criminal justice while Gonzalez plans to get a degree in elementary education.
Congratulations to both these excellent athletes!
