Consulate of Mexico at Brownsville, Rodolfo Quilantan Receives Key to City

Mayor Polo Narvaez presents Consulate of Mexico at Brownsville, Rodolfo Quilantan Arenas, the key to the city in appreciation for his commitment to Los Fresnos
The key to the city was officially received by the Consulate of Mexico at Brownsville, Rodolfo Quilantan Arenas, at the last city council meeting held on August 11, 2015.
Quilantan has displayed a strong commitment to work together with the City of Los Fresnos as well as other cities in Cameron County.
On July 27, 2015, acting on behalf of the Consul of Mexico, Àngeles Padròn presented a donation of Spanish language textbooks to the Ethel L. Whipple Memorial Library on behalf of the Mexican Government. Mayor of Los Fresnos, Polo Narvaez was present at the donation event and had presented the Consul representative with the key to the city in appreciation for their commitment to the community.
“Senior Polo Navaez, le aprecio muchísimo esta distinción, es una distinción que fue creada en el siglo 13, this distinction was created in Rome in the 13th century, it was the first time in 1237 (A.D.) that a city in the world provided the key of the city to some people, you are continuing that tradition, muchas gracias!” said Quilantan to Mayor Narvaez and the city council for the distinction.
