FFA Students Cook Meals for Los Fresnos First Responders

The Los Fresnos FFA Chapter did its part to thank first responders on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
On Sunday morning, September 11, 2016, they cooked brisket and sausage, and made potato salad and beans.
Then for lunch, the group delivered the lunches to members of the Los Fresnos Fire Department and Los Fresnos Police Department in a show of appreciation for their work to protect local residents.
Participating in the event were: Los Fresnos High School; Cameron Cargill, FFA Vice President; Isaac Muñoz, Treasurer; Allison Watts, Sentinel; Madison Wilson, Reporter; Nadine Fernandez and Daniel Medrano, club members
Also participating were: Jorge Moya, Los Fresnos United; Matthew Cargill, Liberty Memorial Middle School; Clarissa Garza, Los Cuates Middle School; Melissa Jaramillo, Lopez-Riggins Elementary; and Emily Cargill, Los Fresnos Elementary.
Alumni officers Elizabeth Cargill, Mary Fernandez and Christina Muñoz also participated, along with FFA parents and supporters Mike and Ofelia Carlos, Chad Cargill, Erica Garza, Joe Mario and William Jaramillo, Irma Ortega, Melissa Shafer and Anna Michele Troncoso.
