13 Educators Complete Digital Learning Academy

Thirteen Los Fresnos CISD educators completed the second cohort of the Digital Learning Academy and received plaques at the Board of Trustees meeting Monday.
The DLA is a one-year academy which supports, enhances, and trains teachers in developing the knowledge and skills needed in technology implementation.
Educators committed to attending monthly professional learning sessions focused on digital learning and equational technology leadership. They trained, modeled and supported technology implementation at their campuses.
Members of the second cohort, which includes teachers, librarians and administrators, were:
- Laureles Elementary: Jennifer Andrews and Nancy Wilson
- Lopez-Riggins Elementary: Graciela San Roman and Rebecca Villarreal
- Los Fresnos Elementary: Elizabeth E. Kretz
- Olmito Elementary: Ericka Cabrera, Esmeralda Longoria, Linda Rodriguez
- Villareal Elementary: Melissa Shafer
- Liberty Memorial Middle School: Viviana Espinoza
- Los Fresnos United: Daniel Cranick, Linda Galvan and Raul Garza
Educators in the first cohort of the DLA completed their program one year ago.
