In an attempt to improve its service to the public, the Los Fresnos Ethel Whipple Memorial Library is taking a collection of books to the Boys & Girls Club.
Under a program called The Little Library, the organization is setting up a shelf filled with more than 100 books that will be available to those using the club after school and work hours.
Angie Lugo, the city librarian, said a replica of the library is now at the club following a presentation held Thursday, Nov. 21.
“The Little Library will have books for young and adults alike,” she said. “They can read them there or check them out.”
She also said the city’s library is changing its hours, beginning Dec. 2.
The library will open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
