As we near the start of round two of District 32-6A play, The Los Fresnos Falcons soccer team is on a dominant run, sitting as the number two team in the District Standings. Arguably one of the toughest teams in the district, Los Fresnos looks to continue their winning ways in round two.
Holding a 5-2 record in District play, The Falcons have already racked up big wins over Weslaco, Harlingen, San Benito, and an overtime win over Donna North. Los Fresnos wrapped up round one play with a 2-1 win over Harlingen South. The Falcons lone two losses were to Rivera 2-0 and Hanna 2-1.
So what does the second half of 32-6A play look like? The Falcons will begin round two by hosting San Benito on February 18, then travel to Donna North on February 22. Los Fresnos will then face off against Rivera at home February 25, before traveling to Weslaco to kick off March. The Falcons will then have a two-game homestand where they will host Harlingen on March 4 then Hanna on March 8 for their final home game of the regular season.
Los Fresnos will then travel to Harlingen South March 11 to wrap up the district calendar. Los Fresnos possess the skill and firepower to make a statement and potentially take the lead in round two. In one of the most competitive districts in the RGV, Los Fresnos looks ready with all eyes set on the Postseason and share of the District Title.
