As we sit just less than one year away from the 2026 World Cup, soccer fever has had its grip on the US as two exciting tournaments take place.

The 2025 Club World Cup officially relaunched in its new format. Traditionally an 8 team tournament featuring the top league teams from around the world, this year things were shaken up. The new format now featured 32 teams from around the world. Currently in its semi-final phase, English Club Chelsea FC defeated Brazilian league Fluminense in a 2-0 victory. Chelsea will take on French Club PSG, who came off a 4-0 against Spanish Powerhouse Real Madrid. Both teams will clash to determine the best club in the world.

Meanwhile a smaller, but jam packed tournament took place. The CONCACAF Gold Cup, officially wrapped up after a month of gameplay. The biennial tournament, features the best teams from North and Central America. After a month of great matchups, Mexico and the USA clashed in the final for the eight time in tournament history. After a close knit battle, it was Mexico who captured the Gold Cup for a second consecutive time.

Truly a fun month of soccer, the action will continue as the annual Leagues Cup will take Place beginning this August. Featuring teams from Major League Soccer and Mexico’s Liga MX, 36 teams will battle to see who is truly the best team in North America.
