Enrique C. Juarez was awarded The TMCA outstanding Prosecutor of the year award. But how did he get here?


The Brownsville native grew up doing farm labor. His career in Law Enforcement began when he began working as a Police Officer. Eventually, over time, Juarez decided to pursue a career as a lawyer. 33 years later, the hard work and values displayed have gotten him this prestigious award. Currently the Prosecutor with the Harlingen Municipal Court, Juarez has also been the Chief Prosecutor at the Los Fresnos Municipal court for many years.


Robert “Bobby” Garcia, the Presiding Judge of the Harlingen Municipal court spoke highly of his friend and associate ‘’I am grateful to work with a Prosecutor that has a strong sense of justice and fairness as I do’’ said Garcia. “He believes in being fair and listening to people’’.


Alongside being a prosecutor, Juarez has a long history of service to the community. Juarez has served as the President of the Police Officer, a Board Member of the Texas Combined Law Enforcement Association, Major Crimes Investigator, and as a Labor Relations manager. ‘’He has always cared about people. I respect his caring and compassionate passion for justice’’, said Garcia. ‘’Mr. Juarez lives by the motto ‘I seek not to convict, but that justice be done.’’’


‘’As a lawyer and judge, it is important that I work with professionals that use their education and power to make outstanding contributuions, and Mr. Juarez does all that and more”, said Juarez.
