2022 Los Fresnos Christmas Parade

Parade Theme: “It’s A Wonderful Christmas”

Presented by Los Fresnos CISD, City of Los Fresnos, Los Fresnos CDC, and Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce


Saturday, December 3, 2022 Starting at 5:00 pm

Times: The Parade line-up begins at 4 p.m. All entries must be in position at their Parade Line-Up area by 4:30 p.m. The parade begins at exactly 5 p.m.

Route: The Parade begins at East Second and Alamo streets, proceeds east on Second Street, turns north on Arroyo Boulevard and ends at Los Fresnos High School.

Entry Form
Deadline: The Entry Form and entry fee must be submitted by 4 p.m. Thursday, December 1. Entries received after the date will be inserted to the end of the Parade in the order received. Applications must be signed to be accepted.

Changes: Parade officials from Los Fresnos CISD, Los Fresnos Police Department, or Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce are authorized to make changes to the Parade Line-Up for entries that arrive later than 4:30 p.m. on Parade Day. If you are asked to move positions by a Parade official, please do so respectfully.

Entry Fee: $35. The fee is waived for Los Fresnos CISD and City of Los Fresnos entries.

Submission: Applications can be emailed to [email protected]. Applications and entry fees may also be hand-delivered or mailed to Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce, 520 E. Ocean Blvd., Los Fresnos TX 78566. For more information, call the Chamber Office at 956-233-4488.

Exceptions: Entries that represent alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and firearms are not permitted.

Planning
Parade Flow: Performances must not stop the flow of the Parade and must continue to move forward.

No Throwing! Candy or advertisements may not be thrown from the floats or vehicles for safety reasons, but may be distributed by parade participants walking along with the float and distributed along the curb.

Safety First! Participants on floats and vehicles must remain on their floats for safety reasons.

Audio: Audio must be declared in your application to help plan the Parade Line-Up and avoid overlapping (drowning) music with nearby entries. Audio levels must be monitored. Audio for dance groups must face the dance group. Parade Marshals and law enforcement personnel are authorized to ask you to reduce the volume of your audio.

Line-Up: The Parade Line-Up list and diagram will be ready for distribution by 5 pm Wednesday, Dec 4.

Diagram: All Parade entries are encouraged to review the Parade Line-Up Diagram to determine which route they should take to get to the line-up area.

Equestrians: All equestrian entries will be the final entries of the Parade.

Winner Trophies and Christmas Festival at Memorial Park after Parade

Theme: Parade entries are strongly encouraged to follow the official Parade theme.

Trophies: Trophies are awarded for the top three winners in each entry category. Winners are announced at the Christmas Festival at Memorial Park that follows the parade. Winners not in attendance can pick up their winner trophies at the Chamber of Commerce Office.

Festival: The Christmas Festival begins when the Parade ends at Memorial Park. All Parade participants are encouraged to attend the Festival which includes entertainment, rides, food, and pictures with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus giving Christmas Bags to all children attending.

Non-compliance could result in authorized removal from the Parade.
