The Los Fresnos Falcons Baseball team is off to a dominant start in District 32-6A. After a lengthy non-district schedule, The Falcons began 32-6A against the Rivera Raiders. Brownsville Rivera, who finished as the fifth seed overall in 2022, we’re looking to begin District 32-6A play with a victory over the defending district champions.
Los Fresnos picked up a 2-0 win over the Raiders to open up District Play. To Continue the 1-0 run, Los Fresnos faced off against the Raiders in game two and again thanks to solid pitching, collected a 1-0 win to sweep the Raiders.
Now due up were district rivals Weslaco. As both teams have been battling for first in the last two years, both have developed quite the rivalry and has been one of the best rivalries in South Texas in recent years. In what was a high offense night for the Falcons, Los Fresnos was able to take the lead early on and hold off Weslaco to win 9-5.
Remaining District Series include Brownsville Hanna, San Benito and Harlingen to wrap up the 2023 32-6A Schedule. Currently, Los Fresnos is 18-6-1 overall and 3-0 in 32-6A play. Rene Morales’ Ball club continues to lead the way in the 32-6A standings.
