The 2023 NBA Finals are off and running, and so far it’s been quite the matchup.
The Denver Nuggets, who are in search of their first Championship in their first Finals Appearance look to win in dominant fashion. Up against the Nuggets are the Miami Heat, who are in their sixth Finals appearance are looking for their first Finals win since 2013. The Heat are 0-2 in their last finals appearance after losing to the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

Game one was a highly contested matchup that saw the Nuggets control the game thanks to a 59 point first half. Despite a better run by Miami in the second half, the Nuggets captured game one 104-93.

Three Days Later, Game Two saw the Heat and Nuggets. In a different series of events, both teams played more down to the wire, especially in the first quarter. Miami was able to edge past Denver and out score them 26-23. Denver was able to net in 34 points to increase their lead at the half. While the Nuggets were able to control in the third, the Heat turned up in the fourth, scoring 36 points and squeaked past Denver 111-108 to tie the series.

With the series 1-1 and both teams evenly matched, it’s still a bit to early to tell who will be lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy to finish the 2022-23 Season as Champions of the NBA.
