Bobz World, A Family Attraction

Did you know that Bobz World is not just giant shark displays, conch shells, dinosaurs, and other large structures that you see driving out to the island? There is much more to see and do inside as well. Owners Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth Harris decided to open up Bobz World back in 2006 after just having a seashell warehouse before that. It was their dream to make something big for everyone to enjoy.
Back in 1989 they established the company U.S. Shell, Inc in San Benito, Tx., in which their warehouse currently resides. The shell company is one of the largest wholesale distributors and import/exporters of seashells and nautical accessories in the world. They supply large chains like Michael’s, Pottery Barn, Hobby Lobby and so much more. So why not open a place where people could buy all types of nautical items as gifts and souvenirs?
The Harris family went a step further and decided to become a family fun attraction as well. They added an arcade, black light mini golf, Bobz Journey, snack shack and ice cream shop. The gift shop is open Monday thru Sunday, and the Attractions are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. They also have a sister store called Bobz Castle in Port Isabel. Just look for the giant conch shells at their entrance. If you want to find out more about these locations, they have a Facebook page called Bobz World Family Fun Center and their website is bobzworld.fun.
