Community Health Fair Held in Los Fresnos

On October 1st, 2024, STAR Insurance Advisors, a local health insurance agency, collaborated with the Area Agency on Aging for their 3rd annual Community Health Fair in Los Fresnos, aimed at supporting the senior citizen community. The event featured various local and state agencies providing essential resources, including health screenings and flu vaccines at no cost. With over 150 participants, the fair included organizations like Adult Protective Services, Senior Medicare Patrol, Maximus, Americorp Seniors, Medication Assistance Programs, as well as recognized health insurance carriers, provider and rehabilitation agencies and local providers for vision and dental services. All agencies collaborated and showcased a commitment to empowering seniors in accessing vital health and assistance programs.

STAR Insurance Advisors is a local health insurance enrollment center and has been collaborating with the Area Agency since 2021 to bring these events and resources to the Los Fresnos community for the senior citizen population. STAR IA assist with health insurance services as well as serving as a resource center to provide customer support to the senior citizens of Los Fresnos.
