Los Fresnos Basketball on a roll

After beginning the season 2-1. The Los Fresnos Falcons Boys Basketball team has been on a dominant run heading into the Thanksgiving break.


The Falcons took part in Tournament Play at the Santa Rosa Tournament. To open up tournament play on Thursday, the Falcons took on the Jubilee Titans and the PSJA Bears. The Falcons would be dominant in both games and go on to defeat the Titans 79-23, and the Bears 82-37.


In Day Two, the Falcons would continue their dominance from day one into the next games. Los Fresnos would defeat Macedonian Christian 89-39, and then the Mercedes Tigers 74-43.


The wins would put the Falcons into the championship of the tournament against the Brownsville Pace Vikings. In what would be their second meeting of the season, the Falcons won the first encounter 72-32. History would repeat itself as the Falcons would dominate Pace 62-39.


Back to normal non-district play, the Falcons would find themselves in a Corpus Christi Slate as they would take on the Miller Buccaneers and Moody Trojans. The Falcons took control and controlled the Pace of game to win 88-47. Against Moody, the Falcons routed the Trojans 108-84.


With seven straight wins, the Falcons continue to play excellent Basketball. The Falcons will take part in the Hidalgo Pirate Classic tournament and a few non-district matchups before District begins January 10, 2025.
