Boys & Girls Club Thanks Police Department, Updates on 2025 Program

On December 20, the Boys & Girls Club of Los Fresnos welcomed the Los Fresnos Police Department for a special holiday event that brought joy to local children. The Police Department’s Blue Santa made an appearance, posing for photos and handing out gifts to the kids. In a statement, the Boys & Girls Club expressed their gratitude to the department, saying they were grateful to the Los Fresnos Police Department for coming and “spreading holiday cheer to our members.”
The event highlighted community collaboration in Los Fresnos, bringing families and children together for a day of festivities. The Police Department’s participation, including Blue Santa’s visit and gift distribution, was well-received and appreciated by attendees.
Looking ahead to the new year, the Boys & Girls Club has announced updates to its league program fees. Effective January 1, 2025, the cost for participating in league sports, including basketball, flag football, volleyball, and soccer, will be $60 per member. The membership fee will remain unchanged at $15 per member for those memberships made before January 1st.
Basketball registration is currently open and will close on January 17. Families are encouraged to register their children before the deadline to ensure participation in the league. Basketball season is always a highlight for the community, as it provides children with an opportunity to develop their skills, stay active, and build camaraderie with their peers.
