Falcon Varsity Cheerleaders Bring Home Superior Ratings at UCA Camp
- Updated: August 16, 2013
The LFHS cheerleaders took home two honors and received superior ratings at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) camp in Edinburg July 29-Aug. 1.
The varsity was named Xtreme Routine Champions and Sideline Champions, and received superior ratings on their Fight Song and Team Cheer.
LFHS also received the Leadership Award, considered to be the most prestigious award of the camp. This award is awarded based on votes. All the teams at the camp vote on one team that stands out, the team with the best leadership skills, the team that they would most want to be a part of, and that team was ours.
Individually, Leslie Ramos and Robert Nino were named UCA All American, and Nino was also asked to be a part of the staff because of his exemplary cheerleading skills.
Varsity cheerleaders attending were: Sarah Higgerson, Jennifer Atkinson, Leslie Ramos, Robert Nino, Angelina Yzaguirre, Isabel Watson, Larissa Duran, April Castillo, David Lozoya, Rosanna Villarreal, Alle Elizondo, Alex Lopez, Joshua Perez, Abby Fonseca, Julisa Rodriguez, Jasmin Vasquez and Angela Zamora.
