FALCONS BRAVE TORRENTIAL RAIN to DEFEAT PSJA NORTH RAIDERS 35-34
- Updated: September 26, 2014

In a game fraught with torrential rain, lightening strikes and delays, the Los Fresnos Falcons Varsity football team were down 34-14 at the beginning of the second half on game night Friday, September 12th. The adverse weather cost the Falcons several turnovers early in the game. By the second half, however, the rain had subsided and the Falcons managed to catch up to the Raiders with a score of 34-28 with little over a minute left on the clock and the ball at the Falcons’ 17-yard line. In that minute the Falcons successfully pulled off an 83-yard drive on the muddy field allowing running back James Rangel to tie the game with 25 seconds to spare. Earning the extra point with the time remaining, the Falcons emerged victorious in one of the most stunning comebacks of the season. GO FALCONS!
