Students Bring Home Honors at Student International Art Show

Several Los Fresnos High School students took home awards at the 45th Student International Art Show held March 5-19 at the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art.
The Student International Art Show showcases works by students from all over North America and parts of Europe. It aims to encourage artistic development of students in grades pre-kindergarten through high school.
Allison Shuckman was the lone first place finisher among the group of students participating.
Also receiving awards were: Caroline Jimenez 2nd place; Brianna Ramirez 2nd place; Meagan Martinez 2nd place; Lilian Tamayo 3rd place; Maryhelen Vasquez 3rd place; Christian Atkinson 3rd place; Hugo Valdez Honorable Mention.
Student Miguel A. Jacques also participated and sold his artwork by auction.
Other students also participating in the show were Migdalia Banda, Zulem Gallegos, Kassandra Mendieta, Dominque Morales, Viviana Rodriguez, Priscilla Torres and Jonathan Zapata.
