Los Fresnos CISD Superintendent Gonzalo Salazar was the keynote speaker at the monthly meeting of the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce Thursday.
Salazar addressed a crowd of about 50 people who gathered at the Los Fresnos Community Center. Other items on the agenda included the recognition of new members to the board.
Salazar’s topics were focused on student achievement, and how Los Fresnos CISD students exceeded state and regional averages on student testing. He also told the group about the success of students in athletics.
Salazar has traditionally addressed the Los Fresnos Chamber each year in August to coincide with start of the school year.
