Annual Los Fresnos Christmas Parade and Festival a Success
- Updated: December 28, 2015
On December 12th the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce and the City of Los Fresnos held their Annual Christmas Parade and Festival. This year’s theme was “Christmas in the Park”. The Parade, which began at its usual time of 5:00 p.m., affords the community an opportunity to get out and have some holiday fun. Local businesses also take advantage of the opportunity to promote their products and services while at the festival.
This year all Los Fresnos CISD schools participated in the annual Los Fresnos Christmas parade. The parade lineup began at 4 p.m. at 2nd and Brazil streets at the Los Fresnos Community Building. The parade began at 5 p.m. two blocks east on 2nd Street then turned north on Arroyo Boulevard and concluded at Los Fresnos High School and Memorial Park.
Parade participants and spectators then made their way to the Los Fresnos Christmas Festival, which followed immediately after the parade, at Memorial Park across from Los Fresnos High School.
There was live music entertainment and numerous activities such as rides, games, food vendors, other product and service vendors. Santa Claus was also on hand to give out candy bags and posed for pictures with children.
The Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Friends of the Chamber such as Mayor Polo Narvaez & First Lady Carlotta Narvaez, the Business Chamber Members, the City of Los Fresnos and Community Development Corporation, Los Fresnos CISD and the Los Fresnos chamber of Commerce personnel who worked tirelessly contributing to the theme “Christmas at the Park” by providing volunteer time.
