LOS FRESNOS-After their Week 2 game against Gregory-Portland, the Falcons fell on the road against Calallen 27-7.
Los Fresnos is now 1-1 and head into their bye week before they square off at San Benito on Sept.24
“We are coming off a very tough and physical game against state ranked Calallen,” said Los Fresnos coach David Cantu. “Our defense continues to play solid football, holding the Wildcats scoreless in the second half.”
Against Calallen, the Wildcats jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and did not look back from there.
The Falcons loan score came in the second quarter on a Matt Padilla touchdown pass to Hector Muniz.
“Offensively, we continue to work on improving and becoming consistent as we head into district play.” Cantu said.
