LOS FRESNOS-On Tuesday, the Lady Falcons grew up just a little more. The young Falcons swept the defending district champs in straight sets (25-19,26-24,25-20) at Brownsville Rivera.
With the win, the Lady Falcons are now 3-0 in district play. Up next is a match with Weslaco at home before they tussle with Harlingen.
The Lady Falcons are starting to come full circle and first-year head coach Anissa Lucio is seeing her team turn the corner.
“This was a big win for us against a tough team,” said Lucio. “We have grown together as a team, and we are peaking at the right time. I’m very proud of our effort and resilience tonight.”
