Los Fresnos CISD Hosts a Resourceful Community Event

On July 30th, the Los Fresnos CISD Family Engagement Department hosted an engaging and impactful Back-to-School event designed to support families during this bustling time of year. Parents and students alike gathered with enthusiasm to prepare for the start of a new academic journey. This pivotal transition period serves as a valuable opportunity for the community to come together and equip our youth for the challenges and adventures that lie ahead.
The theme for this year’s Back-to-School Community and Safety Fair, “Building Our Future Together,” encapsulates the spirit of collaboration and unity that defines our community’s approach to education.
Participants benefited from a wide array of essential items, including complimentary uniforms, school supplies, and backpacks. Additionally, students could enjoy free haircuts, a thoughtful gesture aimed at boosting their confidence as they step into their new roles as learners. To promote overall well-being, health screenings were provided, ensuring that students are physically ready to tackle the upcoming school year. Educational booths hosted by local organizations offered valuable information and resources, empowering families with knowledge on various community programs and services available to them.
The district would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated Family Engagement team for their hard work in organizing this successful event. We also thank the generous members of the Los Fresnos community and local organizations for their unwavering support and contributions. Their kindness in donating school supplies and volunteering time exemplifies the profound commitment to nurturing and uplifting our children, showcasing a strong sense of community spirit that truly makes a difference in the lives of our students.
