SAN BENITO-Los Fresnos entered the second quarter tied with San Benito, but gave up a 17 point second quarter and could not overcome the deficit.
The Greyhounds wound up with a 38-7 win over the Falcons in their 32-6A opener.
San Benito’s defense pitched a shutout in the second, third and fourth quarter while their offense scored a touchdown in the final two quarters.
The Falcons are now 1-2 and 0-1 in 32-6A.
Los Fresnos looks to bounce back against Donna North who also took a loss in their opener against Weslaco.
32-6A is once again expected to be a meat grinder, with Harlingen and Harlingen South picking up wins in their district openers.
