From Los Fresnos CISD:
Commencement Set for Los Fresnos High School Class of 2023
Preparations are underway for the Los Fresnos High School Class of 2023 Commencement ceremony. The program is set for Saturday, May 27th at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
The candidates for graduation are expected to walk across the stage on Saturday. Commencement will be open to public with no ticket needed. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. for spectators with seating available on a first come, first served basis. The standard clear bag policy at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium will be enforced for all attendees.
Due to mandated City of Los Fresnos Traffic Department maintenance road closures at Whipple Road, the north parking lot at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium will be closed to the public. The District has made accommodations at various locations near the stadium for alternative parking. Please see the attached updated Parking and Traffic Flow map and guidance for additional information.
For those who cannot attend, the ceremony will be live streamed through the district’s YouTube channel. The livestream will begin at 7:15 p.m.
The graduates should begin arriving by 6:30 p.m. and will be ushered to the north end portion of the track at the stadium. The procession will march down the track on each side toward the south end zone. The stage will be situated in the south end zone in front of the video board.
*Note: Confetti and confetti poppers will not be allowed
If you have questions, please contact the high school at (956) 254-5300. In the unlikely event of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will be moved to Sunday, May 28th.
