Los Fresnos News
Fresh off a big win in Week Nine over the Hanna Golden Eagles, the Los Fresnos Falcons looked to use their motivation week 10 against the San Benito Greyhounds. The Hounds, who are fresh off their first Battle of The Arroyo victory in four seasons, were not to be taken lightly.0
The First Quarter saw both squads play equally on both sides off the ball as Los Fresnos and San Benito were able to score one touchdown to make it a 7-7 game to end the first.
The Greyhounds played more strong on defense and were a lot more efficient on offense, scoring two touchdowns and shut down the Falcons to lead 21-7 at the half.
The Greyhound were able to tack on a field goal in the second half, followed by two touchdowns and only limited the Falcons to one more touchdown. The Greyhounds would hold on to win 38-14.
With the loss, the Falcons would fall to 2-2 in 32-6A Play and 6-3 overall in 2023. Currently in fourth, the Falcons will take on Harlingen in the district finale with a chance to punch their ticket to the postseason.
