After a grueling regular season, the Los Fresnos Lady Falcons took on the Edinburg Lady Bobcats in the Class 6A State Volleyball Playoffs. Looking to advance to the Area Round, The Lady Falcons were determined to get through last season.
In a rematch of last year’s Bi-District Round, Los Fresnos got past Edinburg in a five set thriller.

Set two saw Los Fresnos took control early and did not look back as the Lady Falcons were able to hold off Edinburg to win set two 25-19.
Up 2-0, Los Frenos was able to take control once again and thanks to a late attack on defense by the Lady Falcons, Los Fresnos cemented the win 25-21.
With the Sweep, the Lady Falcons advanced to the Area Round where they await San Antonio Harlan.
“We’re extremely proud of our team. They have worked very hard to get to this point in our season”, said Los Fresnos Head Volleyball Coach Anissa Lucio. “We’re excited to be playing in the Area Round”.
Los Fresnos fell to San Antonio O’ Connor in last year’s Area Round. This year, the Lady Falcons will take on the Harlan Hawks in another RGV vs San Antonio Matchup.
