The City of Los Fresnos takes great pride in its well-developed park system, which consists of four parks offering a wide range of modern facilities. These parks, nestled in the natural beauty of Los Fresnos, are designed to meet the diverse recreational needs of the community and its visitors, inspiring all who visit with their scenic charm.
The Parks and Recreation Division of Los Fresnos maintains these four parks: Montes Castro Park, Community Park, Memorial Park, and Nature Park. Their dedicated landscape management and development services ensure the provision of safe, modern, and diverse recreational spaces for the public, offering a sense of security and comfort to all visitors.
In addition to parks, the Parks and Recreation Division also provides landscape management services to various other city properties, including municipal buildings, boulevards, and vacant lots, and offers construction capabilities.
One of the prominent parks, Los Fresnos Nature Park and Caracara Hike and Bike Trail, spans 22 acres and features native landscaping and a 0.8-mile multi-use trail. The park includes amenities such as an amphitheater, picnic tables, bird viewing areas, a butterfly garden, a children’s playground, exercise equipment, restrooms, a bicycle repair station, and bike parking. The Nature Park is connected to the 1.75-mile-long Caracara Bike and Hike Trail.
Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of activities in the parks, from using the community equipment to exploring the butterfly garden, bird watching, and utilizing the children’s playground. The park also provides benches, BBQ grills, and a lending library, offering a variety of experiences that will excite and engage everyone who visits.
Located at 851 N. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos Park and Caracara Hike and Bike Trail are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For inquiries, you can contact them at (956)233-6182 or use their Google number, which is (956)347-1900.
